- Bring good walking shoes, good sunscreen and good rain gear.
- Don’t forget that Indonesia is also a modern country where you can buy just about anything (especially in the cities), so forgetting something is not a big deal.
Guests sometimes bring pens, coloured pencils, colouring books, balloons or other small gifts to hand out to the local people. The children in particular are often very happy with them! By the way, you will NOT make Indonesian children happy with Dutch liquorice or stroopwafels, but you will with Tingting (a nut sweet). And if you want to give something healthy: buy fruit along the way, because for many families fruit is still a treat.
